For a long time I wanted to try my hand at Kumihimo. Seeing the asymmetrical necklace "Scale the heights" by Paula Juvinall in the August 2011 edition of Bead&Button, I decided to give it a try. After a bit of confusion in the beginning, I soon got into the rhythm and enjoyed it thoroughly. The necklace is by no means perfect, but not too bad for a first try. Material used: 8/0 gunmetal, long Magatamas in gunmetal and galvanized silver.
Schon fuer einige Zeit wollte ich die Kumihimo-Technik ausprobieren. Dann sah ich die "scale the heights" asymmetrische Halskette von Paula Juvinall in der Bead&Button August 2011 Ausgabe und beschloss, diese als mein erstes Kumihimo Projekt zu versuchen. Schon bald hatte ich den Bogen raus und genoss die "rythmische" Arbeitsweise. Die Kette ist nicht perfekt geworden, aber ich finde sie schoen genug fuer einen ersten Versuch. Verwendete Materialien: 8/0 gunmetal, lange Magatamas in gunmetal und galvanisiertem silber.
